between-us is an AI companion platform that allows users to create and interact with AI-powered virtual companions. Our service includes text chat, voice conversations, photo sharing, and personalized AI interactions.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use this service. By using Between Us, you represent and warrant that: (a) you are at least 18 years old; (b) you have the legal capacity to enter into these terms; (c) you will not allow minors to access your account; (d) accessing this type of content is legal in your jurisdiction.

Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must provide accurate information and keep it updated. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account.

User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws
• Harass, abuse, or harm others through the service
• Attempt to manipulate AI companions to generate harmful content
• Share or distribute content that promotes violence, hate, or discrimination
• Attempt to reverse engineer, hack, or compromise our systems
• Create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions or bans
• Share your account with others or transfer your account
• Generate, request, or distribute any content depicting minors in sexual situations
• Generate content depicting real persons without their consent
• Use the Service to create non-consensual sexual content
• Circumvent age verification or content moderation systems

User Responsibility

You are responsible for all content you request, create, or interact with through the Service, including AI-generated responses to your prompts. You agree to use the Service in compliance with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction. While we provide content moderation and safety features, you acknowledge that AI systems may occasionally produce unexpected outputs.

Content & Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of original content you create. AI-generated content (text, images, voice) is licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use only. You may not: claim copyright over AI-generated images; redistribute AI companion images commercially; use AI-generated content to create competing services. We do not claim ownership of your input messages.

Subscriptions & Payments

Premium features require a paid subscription. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled. You can cancel at any time through your account settings. Refunds are handled according to our refund policy and applicable laws.

Disclaimers

AI companions are artificial intelligence entities and not real people. While we strive for high-quality interactions, AI responses may occasionally be inaccurate, inappropriate, or unexpected. The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, between-us shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may delete your account at any time through the settings page. Upon termination, your data will be deleted according to our Privacy Policy.

Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed under the laws of Luxembourg and applicable European Union law. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the competent courts of Luxembourg. For EU consumers, nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under applicable consumer protection laws.
